Khandaani Shafakhana of Shilpi Dasgupta is in the same place as Vicky Donor and Shubh Mangal Savdhaan. Sex is a taboo topic in India, and there are still stigma associated with issues related to the subject. This is especially true in small towns in India, where open discussion of sexual behavior can lead to labels that are vulgar, debauchery or obscene. As the only income member of the family, Sonakshi Sinha inherited the traditional Unani sex clinic of her late uncle, played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda. However, there is a condition in inheritance that is not easy to achieve…
What is it……
Baby Bedi, played by Sonakshi Sinha, is the medical representative of the town of Hoshiyarpur. She dreams of building her own herbal business but is in debt trouble. Her parents’ home was pursued by her uncle, and her behavior was like a stubborn creditor. She inherited the uncle’s sex clinic in a major area of the city, but must run for six months before selling it. Her mother was amazed at the idea, but it was the only choice before Baby Bedi. Next is an unbalanced story about self-realization and breaking the taboo of sexual relationships.
What is the hot spot?
Sonakshi Sinha is in very good shape, like Bobby Bedi. She points to emotional scenes and expresses emotions when needed. The protagonist is well written. Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Annu Kapoor, Nadira Babbar and Varun Sharma support her very well. The casting of the film is very good. Priyansh Jora played a small role and he proved his courage. The direction captures the environment of the small town, full of love and warmth. The court sequence in the second half performed very well. Badshah plays himself, very decent.
What is not
This movie has some loopholes that are hard to ignore. For a film about sex education/consciousness, there is much less dialogue about the actual subject. This is a real inhibitor. Moreover, the first half was too slow. The film made its mark in the second half. In addition, it is obvious that the manufacturer has exhausted all the best single lines of the trailer itself. Khandaani Shafakhana is considered a film that reveals sexual dysfunction in an easy way, and how a new Hakim handles it. What we see is completely different. Baby Bedi tried to market her clinic, but the method used was quite old.
